We are duffers ourselves with long years of experience, yes, but duffers just the same. We remember our journey from abysmal to improved, the set backs along the way, even the relapses we continue to experience.

We are duffers with such a heart for the game that we have used multiple methods to grow and improve. We have tested the fads, the latest and greatest, gleaned the nuggets available and now offer the condensed version to you here.

Meet Dooley

Dooley Duffer has been enjoying golf for more than 3 decades. He has made himself a student of the game from nearly the very beginning as a young man in his twenties.

Back then he read books authored by some of the greats of the day like Jack Nicklaus' Golf My Way, Tom Watson's Strategic Golf & Johnny Miller's Pure Golf.

Over the years since then he continued to devour as much golf information as he could find. Golf magazines, books, videos and even a lesson or two were all a part of Dooley's path. He has amassed more golf information that most of us that is for sure.

Meet Wayne

Wayne Hudler has also been in the game for 30 plus years. He began the game as a young man as well.

Even though he had never played he was known to ridicule those that did, so much so that he was challenged to play with some co-workers.

As you might imagine he played poorly, extremely so, that first round. That began his long lasting mission to improve his game and play better golf.

Wayne met Dooley some eleven years ago now. They quickly became friends and playing partners.

Dooley was able to help Wayne improve his game as well as many of their regular group.

Now this partnership, Dooley and Wayne, is focused on helping others to accelerate their golf education, improve their scores and lower their handicaps.

Background

Seems Dooley has been working on his golf game for some 30 odd years. In that time he has read a ton of golf reports, books, and magazines. He has taken lessons from a pro or two, sought advice from dozens and dozens of fellow golfers, studied the swing of tour players and even worked at a golf course where he and a pro named John became well acquainted.

When the internet came along he took advantage of the multitude of eBooks, websites and video libraries available for a few bucks and the click of a mouse.

Dooley has accumulated enough golf education and experience to fill a clubhouse. Some of it was quite good and helped him improve his golf game and lower his handicap. Some of it seemed to just repeat what others had taught before. Not much value in them at all. Much of it was simply a waste of time and money.

It seemed as though someone was more concerned about making money than helping struggling golfers. What irritated Dooley the most was that the worst of them offered golf swing advice that would have ruined the swing of most golfers.

One day Dooley was chatting with his golf buddies about all this. He was complaining about the scams and cheats on the internet when someone suggested that he was in a unique position to do something about the problem.

He challenged Dooley saying, "Why don't you get your own website where you can tell folks which golf swing improvement information and equipment was worth having? That way they wouldn't fall into the same traps you did. You could really help other golfers out if you did that."

Well Dooley didn't know much about websites and he was certainly not a golf "guru" like David Leadbetter, Hank Haney or David Pelz. Why, he hasn't broke 80 but once in his entire life.

But it wasn't long until he was researching the idea and this website is the result. Dooley provides the golf expertise and I handle the website development and marketing. Dooley and I sure hope this website serves as a helpful place for golfers seeking advice on how to improve their game.

Whether you need a recommendation on the best available golf swing instruction, the latest golf gadget or training aide or golf fitness programs, Dooley will be here with his straight and down the middle reviews. Dooley wants to steer you in the right direction and keep you away from those internet scam artist that have cost him so much time and money.

He is still learning because as you probably already know, however successful one is at golf it is never enough. Every golfer wants to play better and once he does he still wants to play even better. Oh sure there is much enjoyment along the way in each round and those occasional perfect shots.

Yet we know we have it in us to play better golf. So does Dooley. He will keep on searching the internet and elsewhere for golf improvement resources, and that means we will be updating this website with only the best, those that offer real help and solutions for ordinary golfers like us.
